Shilparamam is an arts and crafts village located in the newly created state of Telangana (India). The village was initially conceived with an idea to create an environment for the preservation of traditional crafts native to the state of Andhra Pradesh.
Subsequently, the state of Andhra Pradesh was bifurcated leading to ambiguity regarding the future of Shilparamam as the only existing cultural village is part of the newly formed state of Telangana.
As Andhra is trying to reinvent itself after the bifurcation we had an opportunity to come up a consistent, distinguishable branding for the cultural programs specific to Andhra Pradesh.
We also had the opportunity to speculate on the new wave of cultural centers that offer a more wholesome experience of 'culture' beginning from the architecture to the programs facilitated. These new cultural centers can become more than just recreational hubs like the one in Hyderabad.
